Thank you to Christ United Methodist Church and to the C-Sports soccer teams!

This past Friday evening, we were very grateful to have the help of several soccer teams from the CUMC C-sports Soccer league to help us transfer all of the collected supplies from the POD to the truck.  These kids were awesome as were their parents and coaches.  After practicing, each team came over and gave us some of their time.  Without their help, it would have taken so much longer to load the truck!

Our sincere thanks to all of these teams!

The Wildcats
The Thunder
The Saints
The Timberwolves

And a special thanks to one parent, Sharon Deaton, who stayed and helped us all night with her son and daughter!

We are so thankful for the support of Christ United Methodist Church and especially to the recreation ministry team who has really gone out of their way to accommodate us.  We have a POD donated by the local POD rental company and the church has let us keep the POD in their back parking lot for the last three weeks.  They have also really helped out with collection and sorting etc.  We are so blessed to have the backing of such an amazing group!

Thank you Wal-Mart Supercenter!

Saturday September 27th, we had a very successful collection thanks to our friends at the new Wal-Mart at the corner of Dawes and Cottage Hill in West Mobile.  Ben and Erin and their kids spent all day in front of the store collecting and were able to fill the back of a truck three times with supplies.  This was such a huge success and the organization is very grateful to Wal-Mart for their support!

Ike relief trip to Texas was a huge success!  Thanks to all who donated!

We took a very full truck to First United Methodist Church in Pasadena Texas, about 25 miles north of Galveston.  Many volunteers were on hand to help unload and sort.  The church distributed everything the next day and within 48 hours all was gone.  We are now preparing the next load!  God Bless all who helped!

Our next trip to the area will be October 4th.  Here are a few photos from the trip. When we arrived, the room below was totally empty- not one thing in it!
